Murushid Juuko joins Express

He becomes Express' 5th signing of the transfer window

Uganda Cranes defender Murushid Juuko has joined Express FC on a one-year deal.

Juuko's move to Wankulukuku comes as a surprise especially after Vipers and KCCA expressed interest in the player.

The 26-year-old joined Express on condition that if the opportunity for a move to a foreign club materialises within the year, he will be free to go and that Express will earn at least 20% from the deal.

Juuko's move is reported to have been pushed by the club CEO Isaac Mwesigwa.

His ability has never been in doubt having played for Vipers and Tanzania's Simba SC in the past. The only concern right now will be his fitness since he struggled for playing time after joining Morocco's Wydad Casablanca before his contract was terminated.

He joins the likes of Godfrey Lwesibawa, Mahad Yaya Kakooza, Charles Busingye, John Byamukama as some of Express' new signings.

Express coach Wasswa Bbosa will now have to figure out who between Issa Lumu, Arthur Kiggundu and others will partner with Juuko in defence.
