CORONATION | BUGANDA
MENGO-Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II on Friday commemorated his 27th coronation as the cultural leader of Buganda Kingdom.
The anniversary has been one like no other with only 50 guests, to observe social distancing and other health guidelines averting the spread of Covid-19.
In his message, Mutebi thanked his subjects for donating relief items and money that has helped in the fight against COVID-19.
"We thank whoever has donated towards the COVID-19 fight, however, the government should also keep an eye on other diseases as we fight the deadly pandemic," Kabaka said.
He advised security agencies to always take law offenders to courts of law for fair trial than causing uncalled deaths.
In order to instil order, all guests used the main gate of the palace (Wankaaki) and they went through a high-tech machine, which sprayed them with sanitisers.
