Ugandans in South Africa donate to the vulnerable

Muslims around the world slaughter animals to commemorate Ibrahim's sacrifice and remind themselves of abnegation.


WAKISO- As Muslims celebrate Eid Al- adha, Ugandans in South Africa under their organization Bathuse have donated goats and sheep to needy Muslims of Namavundu village, Gayaza in Wakiso district.

The Imam, Juma Masjidi Noor Mosque in Namavundu, Ali Ssendege applauded the latter for helping people who are in need.

"As we celebrate Eid Al- adha, our people have been given goats and sheep to slaughter as they join the rest of the muslim community. We therefore applaud Bathuse for the help," Ssendege said.

He urged Muslims to be appreciative to what they have received, such that they can get blessings from Allah.

Some of the animals that were slaughtered to residents of Namavundu.


Ally Kagoye, the Country director of Bathuse said that they found it necessary to help the people in need so that they could enjoy the Eid festival.

"We targeted over seventy people in Gayaza, purposely to enable them enjoy the festive having been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic," Kagoye said.
