COVID-19: Health ministry quarantines 108

The Ministry of Health has quarantined 108 people suspected to have been in contact with the first person who died of COVID 19 in Namisindwa District last week.

Among them are three health workers who have tested positive for COVID 19.

The minister of health Dr Jane Ruth Aceng revealed this while updating the country on the state of COVID 19.

Aceng adds that they have identified 75 contacts related to the second person who died of COVID 19 at Mengo Hospital.

The ministry has also sent a team of experts to 20 border districts for a rapid response survey on community infections that have risen to 400.
