Denis Rukundo renews at Police

Right-back Denis Rukundo has renewed his contract with Police FC for two more years. Rukundo who was at APR FC in Rwanda joins winger Johnson Odongo in extending his stay at Police who narrowly survived relegation last season.

Ngoobi snubs SC Villa

Defender Derrick Ngoobi has rejected a move to SC Villa to stay put at Bright Stars after extending his contract by 12 months. SC Villa will now have to look elsewhere for a defender with a number of players expected to leave the club after the expiration of their contracts. 

Express closes in on Juuko

Reports indicate that Uganda Cranes defender Murushid Juuko is likely to sign a one-year deal with Express. It is understood that according to the deal that is being thrashed out, Express stands to receive at least 20% of a sign-on fee should Juuko leave the club. The move comes as a surprise given that the likes of Vipers, URA and KCCA had shown interest in signing the player. 

Sande off to Kenya

Left-back Steven Sande is on the verge of joining Kenya's Kakamega Homeboyz. Sande who is a free agent following the expiration of his contract at Kyetume was vital for the Mukono-based side as they earned promotion to the topflight last year. The club is now in a rebuilding phase under new coach Livingstone Mbabazi.
