Museveni tests negative for COVID 19

He says that he has had many meetings while wearing a mask and it could be the cause of the hoarse voice.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has tested negative for COVID 19. He revealed that he took the COVID-19 test on Sunday, after he developed a sore throat and a hoarse voice. Fortunately, the results returned negative, allowing him to continue with his public appearances.

He says that he has had many meetings while wearing a mask and it could be the cause of the hoarse voice.

The president revealed this as he returned his nomination forms as the NRM party presidential flag bearer and party chairman at the NRM electoral commission.
At the same event, he was duly nominated as  NRM's Party Presidential flag bearer in the next general election.

Museveni was nominated by the Prime Minister Dr.Ruhakana Rugunda and seconded by Gadafi Nasur and Amina Lukanga Nanziri.

The Chairman of the NRM party Electoral Commission Dr.Tanga Odoi declared him as a dully nominated candidate for both the position of National Chairman and Presidential flag bearer. 

President Museveni, who is unopposed on both positions, said the party is now working on its manifesto of 2021-2026, which will address issues of regional markets and deepening prosperity among others.
