UPDF beefs up squad

New league entrants UPDF FC are not taking things for granted and because of this, the club has signed more players to strengthen ahead of the 2020/21 season. These include Tony Kyamera, Gadaffi Gadinho, Juma Ssebaduka, John Ssemazzi, and Andrew Waiswa, while goalkeeper Douglas Kisembo has extended his stay with the Army side. Earlier, they recruited Simon Mbaziira, Ibrahim Wamannah, Ronnie Kisekka, and James Begisa.

URA interest in Mukwala

URA FC has shown interest in signing the league's top scorer Steven Mukwala after his deal with league champions Vipers SC expired. Mukwala who scored 13 goals is also wanted by Rwanda's Sunrise FC which is coached by Moses Basena. Despite impressing in the second round of the season, URA FC struggled for goals.

Clubs battle for Lubwama

Former University Football League prospect Joshua Lubwama is garnering the interest of SC Villa and Bright Stars. The 6ft tall midfielder is a free agent after his contract expired last month at BUL FC and spent the second round of the league on loan at FUFA Big League side Ndejje University.

URA closes in on Ssebwalunyo

The Tax Collectors are also on the verge to complete the signing of goalkeeper Hannington Ssebwalunyo from relegated Maroons FC. URA set its sights on former KCCA stopper Tom Ikara before they opted for Ssebwalunyo. He will replace James Alitho who left the club to join Zambia's Zanaco.

Matovu to rejoin Kyetume

Kyetume are on the verge of reuniting with their former player Richard Matovu. Matovu who failed to agree a new contract with BUL is likely to fill the left-back position at the club he left in 2018. The club is also interested in former KCCA player Nicholas Kasozi.
