After four months of being closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the president yesterday (July 21) while addressing the nation, reopened salons.

He however cautioned salon owners to put the SantaOPs in practice in order to curb the pandemic.

New Vision has today visited different places to check whether they are putting the directives into consideration.

In areas such as Kawaala in Kampala district, many salon owners were seen dusting their products preparing to start work.

They said they are willing to follow the president's directives for the betterment of their businesses, adding that the reopening came at the right time because landlords were about to evict them.

For survival, some confessed that they have been working on clients from their homes.
