Construction of Pallisa district headquarters commences

Pallisa district local government has started the construction of sh2b administrative block.

John Micheal Okurut the district chairperson confirmed to New Vision that the 2bn project was funded by the Central government after frequent requests to upgrade the district headquarters. 

Okurut says the district had run short of offices where many workers keep sharing small office space for operations. He added that the new block is expected to be complete in two years' time.

Maria Mukasa, the chief administrative officer Pallisa said the new administrative block will accommodate the district council and other vital district offices.

Mukasa says the administrative block will be a 3 storied building that he says will accommodate many workers.
