When it comes to Live band music, trust Afrigo Band to pull off a mastery of production. Right from the start, it was evident that the show was going to be a must watch.

Lately, the music industry has resigned to staging online concerts and as it is now, almost every top artiste has staged one. The void, however, has only been felt in the realm of contemporary live band music championed by Afrigo Band, until recently when the star-studded band held their first online concert during the ongoing lockdown.
Organised by Fezah Entertainment, the show was held on Sunday at 7:00pm through an online link, and unlike the rest of the online shows, Fezah concerts are always not  free of charge. Ardent Afrigo band fans, therefore, had to cough sh10,000 or 5 dollars, if they were to access the show. Be that as it may, many did not feel the pinch. They paid.
When it comes to Live band music, trust Afrigo Band to pull off a mastery of production. Right from the start, it was evident that the show was going to be a must watch.
Opening with Abaana B'afrigo, with a parade of well curated instruments, the show was given a powerful start, one befitting of Afrigo's status. The stage set was also a high worth noting on the show. The choice of lights was spot on, coloring up the stage with sharp and dim rays of different colors.
Afrigo, led by Moses Matovu, started with some of their old hits known to majority of their fans. Songs like Sikulimba brought the oomph in the the show, enticing more fans to join the show. Legendary drummer Herman Ssewanyana was exciting on the drums, creating a dancing mood on the show, as one of the fans commented: "The gentleman on the drums is making want to dance already. Thank you Afrigo for the show"
Racheal Magoola's Obangaina was undoubtedly a highlight  among the show's performances. With good instrumentation, it was only going to evoke dancing and singing along, to those who knew the song.
From their latest album Teri Mubi, the lead song off that album was one that excited the fans more, even those that were hearing it for the first time. "This is our latest album and I hope you are enjoying it already," said Matovu
However, on a low note, the connection was still a challenge to many, especially for such a show that required, not just internet, but subscription fee, too. A number of subscribers complained, but fortunately, it was only for a little while. The show went on till 9:00pm
