Muslim council issues guidelines for Idd prayers

Muslim council secretary general Haji Ramadhan Mugalu spoke on plans at the Gadaffi National Mosque for Idd prayers. He also guided the district Kadhis across the country on how to conduct the Idd prayers.

KAMPALA - Muslims are expected to celebrate Idd either tomorrow or Sunday, depending on the sighting of the moon.

With hours left to celebrate Idd-el-Fitr festival, the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) has issued guidelines for the Muslim community on how to observe it amidst the lockdown put in place to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the Kibuli Muslim based administration is today expected to issue guidelines in regard to Idd prayers, according to Sheikh Abdusalam Mutyaba, the Kibuli mosque Imam.
