Uganda's COVID-19 cases jump to 139

Tweeting on its official twitter handle, the ministry said all the new confirmed cases are from the 1,741 samples of truck drivers.

KAMPALA - The Ministry of Health on Wednesday confirmed 13 new cases of COVID-19 in Uganda bringing the total number of cases to 139.

🔺The new cases are 7 Ugandans, 5 Kenyans and 1 Eritrean who arrived from Tanzania, South Sudan and Kenya via Mutukula, Elegu and Malaba
"The new cases include 7 Ugandans, 5 Kenyans and one Eritrean who arrived from Tanzania, South Sudan and Kenya via Mutukula, Elegu and Malaba," the tweet read.
In the tweet, the ministry revealed that all the 363 community samples tested negative for COVID-19.
The total number of samples that were tested at the Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI) on Wednesday are 2,104.
