KAMPALA - The Police are investigating a case of triple murder as a result of domestic violence.

According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, police Saturday received information that a man only identified as Yasin aged 46 years, a resident of Banda B 3, Banda Parish, Nakawa Division, Kampala had murdered his wife and two biological sons.

The deceased were identified as Carol Namboozo aged 25, who hails from Nabumali.
The children were only identified by one name, Musa, 4, and Shaban 7 years.

The murder incident is suspected to have taken place during the Friday morning rain pour.

"A team of police detectives led by the Division Police Commander, Jinja Road visited the scene and carried out preliminary investigations," Onyango said.

He added; "The team's preliminary findings are that the suspect, who is on the run, strangled his wife and two biological children and wrapped them in separate polythene (kaveera)."

The findings, according to Onyango further indicate that the likely cause of the murder is domestic violence.

The eyewitnesses, say the suspect on several occasions had assaulted the wife and at one time, he tied her with ropes and caned her badly. The body was taken to City Mortuary Mulago for a postmortem examination.

"We appeal to members of the public to solve domestic issues amicably," Onyango said.
