The Mukono Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Fred Bamwine decided to take his office out of the building to a mango tree shade to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Bamwine, who is the chairperson of the Mukono district COVID-19 taskforce says his decision is one of the preventive measures of the deadly coronavirus.
He said because he has been serving more people than before, yet they come at once, it would be difficult to observe the Ministry of Health and the Presidential directives in regards to social distancing while in the office.
"I also chair meetings with the district COVID-19 taskforce and security in this mango tree shade. The likeliness of spreading the virus is minimal compared to the office which has got limited space and aeration," he said.
The Mukono district woman chairperson, Esther Nakyazze Baroma said, as part of the district COVID-19 taskforce, they recommended Bamwine to the tree shade, a decision which has been convenient to everybody including the people they are serving.
