Despite the COVID-19 pandemic crippling all sports activities, it has not stopped some individuals planning ahead.

As Uganda Handball Federation awaits for the elections due in June, hopefuls for various positions are planning how to unseat the incumbents.

One such determined invidividual is National Handball League manager Hannington Musoke, who is looking to unseat incumbent Sheila Agonzibwa for the federation's presidency.

A source in the handball fraternity told New Vision: "We want to change management of the federation and we are bringing Hannington Musoke."

When contacted, Musoke neither refuted nor acknowledged the claims, but said he would take a decision at the right time.

"I know I am in one way or another a face of this game and qualify to head it," he said.

"I will consult my club to endorse me when the time is ripe and if they say yes, I will stand," the Makerere University Handball Club coach said.

Musoke added that he has big plans for handball and that if handed the top office, he can develop the sport to another level.
