COVID-19: Biyinzika donates 2,200 trays of eggs to frontline workers

The permanent secretary Dr Diana Atwine said the eggs will be distributed to Mulago National Referral Hospital, Naguru, Entebbe and Kawempe hospitals.

Biyinzika Poultry International has donated 2200 trays of eggs to the COVID-19 National response Fund.

Speaking at the handover of the donation at the Health Minsitry, Dr. Edward Isingoma, a board member of Biyinzika Poultry International said this was the first batch of donations meant to provide the much needed nutrition and good feeding for the caretakers and health workers.

The permanent secretary Dr Diana Atwine said the eggs will be distributed to Mulago National Referral Hospital, Naguru, Entebbe and Kawempe hospitals.

"Many times, the carer of the patient is always .We tend to think more about the patient and forget them," Atwine said.

Among others who donated include the World Islamic Call Society, a Libyan based organization which donated 850 kgs of maize floor.
