COVID-19 IMPROVEMENT

The ministry of health says the person who tested positive to coronavirus (COVID-19) is steadily improving.

Dr Joyce Moriku, the state minister for primary healthcare, said the patient had shown signs of improvement.

Moriku told the media on Monday that all the other people who travelled with the patient had all been traced and put under institutional quarantine.

"The good thing is that the immigration department had all their details," Moriku said.
Uganda recorded the first case of COVID-19 on Sunday morning.

The patient flew in aboard Ethiopian Airlines from Dubai, where he had earlier travelled on March 17.

President Museveni has since issued an order banning all flights coming into Uganda.

The President also banned all travel in and out of the country as a preventive measure against the virus.
