When I performed my fi rst song; the dancers had refused to perform with me. They preferred another singer. I got on stage alone, feeling so sad. Surprisingly, I was welcomed amidst cheers and ululation. People, young and old, gave me money. I got overwhelming support. I was very happy. I will never forget that day.
