DEATH                 DOWNPOUR

Four builders who have been constructing a septic tank at Seeta on Bukeerere road in Mukono municipality have today's evening been buried and died in the septic.

Isma Kagga a survivor who managed to get out of the debris has confirmed the death of his colleagues with whom they have been working at this site for the past month.

Kagga said the walls of the septic tank became weak following the rains that started on Sunday evening and on Monday morning hence collapsing and bury them. The site is located behind Yesu Amala wholesale shop.

The fire brigade Police failed to save the deceased as their truck failed to get access to the scene. As the struggle to get excavators to pull out the trapped builders went on, a downpour cooled all their efforts because the pit was filled with water.

At this point, there were no more hopes of finding anyone alive.

The septic tank is reportedly about 20 feet deep.

Mukono municipality leaders, including the mayor George Fred Kagimu visited the scene.
