The Police have arrested 11 suspects in connection with the disruptive behaviour that saw popular musician Moses Ssali aka Bebe cool being pelted with plastic bottles and other projectiles during a weekend concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga said Bebe Cool did not sustain any serious injuries and those policemen who were covertly embedded in the revellers managed to identify and apprehend the hooligans.
"At this stage, we cannot link the attacks on Bebe Cool to anything Political or acts of beef that is common in the music industry. Police is carrying out investigations," said Enanga.
Bebe Cool was one of the key performers expected to thrill the large crowds that turned up for Cindy Sanyu's concert dubbed Boom party at the Lugogo Oval grounds.
The Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has lashed out at the Police for failing to protect artiste Bebe Cool as he was being pelted with bottles during Cindy's Show on Saturday.
Upon moments of stepping on the stage, Bebe Cool was booed by some of the fans while a few threw bottles and other plastics at the star who defiantly performed with protection from some of the stage guards.
Enanga said some of the key suspects managed to sneak into the concert undetected and this is a problem of event managers who need to beef up their screening in the future.
