Fortunate Badaru is accused of torturing Anna Gabriella, a daughter of her friend Alesi Azaru while she was on mission in Somalia.

The case in which a woman is accused of torturing and tormenting a three-year-old child was heard today at Kira Magistrates' Court and adjourned to March 11, 2020.

Fortunate Badaru, who is suspected of tormenting a 3-year-old girl is yet to be presented before Kira Magistrate Ruth Nabaasa.

Azaru a police officer has been serving in Somalia for the last six months until news of torture of her daughter reached her.

Neighbours in Kira reportedly recorded videos of a child being tortured and reported the case to Police.

The Police swung into action and arrested Badaru and took the baby to the hospital.
Videos of torture circulated on social media on Thursday last week prompting an outrage of the public and the return of the mother on Sunday morning.
