KCCA will miss six of their key players in the Lugogo derby when they lock horns with Proline on Tuesday in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Interestingly head coach Mike Mutebi is unmoved by the injury and suspension crisis ahead of this crucial tie.

The experienced tactician is confident that the available players will fully fit into the shoes of the absentees.

"It is true that the number of absentees is alarming, but on my side, I am not under any pressure. KCCA is not built around individual players, the available ones will fill the gaps and I expect a good result because I know that whoever I field on the pitch and follows my instructions has to deliver," Mutebi said.

Muzamir Mutyaba, Mike Mutyaba, Gift Ali, Charles Lukwago, Musa Ramathan, and John Revita are the key absentees.

Games between the two sides are referred to as a derby because they all use Lugogo as their home ground.

KCCA is on 49 points and victory will see them move to 52 points which is one point behind leaders Vipers on 53 at the top of the league.

"It is a big chance for us to close the gap, as I said previously, the title has not yet slipped out of our hands despite trailing Vipers. So on Tuesday, we are going to fight for the three points," he vowed.

Looking at Proline, they are desperately in need of three points from Tuesday's game if they are to survive relegation.

Lying at the bottom of the table with 21 points, they could find themselves in the 13th position level on points with Maroons (24) if they bag the three points and a good scoring margin against KCCA.

Head coach Baker Mbowa just like his counterpart Mutebi also vowed to put up a good fight for the three points.

"Every game now is a final, we cannot afford to drop a single point. Against KCCA on Tuesday, we are going to be fighting for our survival," Mbowa said.

The first leg meeting between Proline and KCCA ended in tears as KCCA comfortably beat the latter 4-1.
