Readjusting Electoral Roadmap

MPs on Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee have asked the Electoral Commission (EC) to readjust the electoral roadmap for 2021 general elections. They said the time allocated for campaigns is too long and would have adverse effects on operations of Parliament & Economy.

The MPs also asked the EC to open up registration of voters after concerns that people who would have made 18years at the time of elections would be disenfranchised after EC closed voter registration in December last year.

This was during a meeting between the legal committee, the EC and the Ministry of Justice at Parliament.
