Getting through to the knockout stage of the inaugural World Rugby 7s Challenger Series, rings loud in the minds of the Rugby Cranes team that opens its campaign against Italy on Saturday in Chile.

It is going to be a bruising fixture as the Rugby Cranes 7s team eyes a win against Gli Azzurri in their opening game.

Assistant team captain Philip Wokorach told New Vision that they are taking each game as a final and will not accepted to be intimidated by any side.

"We know our opponents are more experienced, but we are not ready for any level of intimidation because we know what it takes to achieve our goal, which is qualifying for the Hong Kong 7s," Wokorach said.

After the Italy game, the Tolbert Onyango boys will take on Paraguay and the finish their group games against Germany, a team that defeated them 19-12 in last year's HongKong 7s.

Onyango's charges are targeting to be in the top eight positions after two Challenger 7s Series of Chile and Uruguay to qualify for the HongKong7s.

The HongKong 7s will be a qualifier for 2020/2021 HSBC World Rugby 7s series.

Meanwhile in the Nile Stout Premeir Rugby League, defending champions Hima Cement Heathens host Shell Rimula Rhinos with an eye on keeping a clean an unbeaten run record.

The Athio Muhammad charges have won all their eight league games.

In the other games 9Barrels Warriors take on Plascon Mongers at Legends Rugby Club, while the Betway Kobs play host to Jinja hippos at the same venue. Makerere Impis visit Mulago Rams in at the grave yard ground Makerere.
