KAMPALA - Four-time league champions Kawempe Muslim will hope to close in on table leaders Lady Doves when they take on Kampala Queens in the FUFA Women Super League on Sunday.

Kawempe are second on the log on 12 points, one adrift of Lady Doves.

They will be hoping to beat the Queens and pray that Lady Doves drop points when they play Uganda Martyrs.

A win in Sunday's game will see Kawempe remain on course to win a fifth title.

The Kampala-based side will bank on U-17 national team captain Juliet Nalukenge for inspiration while Kampala Queens will look to another national team star Fauzia Najjemba.

Elsewhere, defending champions UCU Lady Cardinals will host struggling Muteesa in Mukono.

UCU have had a false start this campaign, winning one and losing two of their four games played so far. Theyare eager to bounce back to winning ways after settling for a 1-1 draw with Uganda Martyrs in their previous game.

They won't be with striker and last season topscorer Hasifah Nassuna, who is injured.

Muteesa are bottom with no point registered yet this season. Their struggles on the pitch are linked to reported administrative wrangles and financial constraints behind the scenes.
