Anita Namata's second half strike helped four-time champions Kawempe Muslim to a 1-0 victory over Kampala Queens 1-0 at the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) in Kabojja.
The win moved Kawempe to the top of the FUFA Women Super League standings and at 15 points, are now two points ahead of second-laced Lady Doves, who were beaten 2-0 by Uganda Martyrs.
Coach Ayub Khalifah's side has managed to regroup to keep their momentum going.
They have won all their five games played so far this season.
Elsewhere, Latiffah Nakasi scored a brace as Uganda Martyrs defeated Lady Doves 2-0 at Rubaga.
In Soroti, Cecila Apiding and Sipora Amodong both scored as Olila High School beat She Corporates.
Action resumes on Wednesday, with Uganda Martyrs taking on Olila while She Corporates will host Kawempe Muslim at Luzira.
