KAMPALA - Thousands in the name of singer David Lutalo's fans turned up at Hotel Africana, Kampala on Friday evening for yet another annual music experience anchored by their favourite artist.

The show dubbed Tugende concert was one of the singer's annual concerts. Yearly, Lutalo stages a show themed with his current hit on the airwaves. This edition was named after his song, Tugende.

The show usually happens in January when many are lamenting about the month's blues. By 3 pm, at a cool Kampala afternoon, the early birds were lining up at the gates, ready to catch the front spots.

The audience, majorly made of women, was bubbly with a repertoire of the singer's various hit songs. He took them down the memory lane, kicking off his act with 2008 breakthrough hit, Kapapala.

The women screamed to show their adoration of the artist who performed his various hits and occasionally, they would jump on their feet to groove.

Among the audience, you would occasionally see a lady with eyes closed, hands in the chest, singing along to songs like Nakusiima. Not only one. Sometimes it is all members of a table in VIP section and the biggest crowd in the squeeze of the ordinary section.

Lutalo was curtain-raised by various artistes, including Mesach Semakula, John Blaq, Wilson Bugembe, Grenade, and  Jose Chameleone.
