KCCA FC missed the chance to go on top of the table after falling to URA in the Uganda Premier League at the Arena of Visions at Ndejje University on Friday.

KCCA that needed a win to go top of the summit struggled to penetrate a solid and compact URA defense commanded by man of the match Patrick Mbowa.

The defeat left KCCA second on the log with 41 points, three below leaders Vipers who were not in action on Friday but face Onduparaka on Sunday.

URA moved fourth on 33 points just like SC Villa who have a better goal difference.

Injuries to Julius Poloto and defender John Revita in either half saw KCCA fail to concentrate in the last ten minutes of the game as they conceded two goals in space of three times.

Striker Cromwel Rwothomio gave URA a lead in the 85th minute from the spot following Nicholas Kasozi handball in the box.

URA doubled the lead three minutes later when KCCA goalkeeper Charles Lukwago clearance was intercepted by URA midfielder  Shafik Kagimu who took on KCCA players on the counter before he released to Rwothomio who passed it to Said Kyeyune to slot the ball past Lukwago.

Herbert Achai would a minute later pick up a consolation when he slotted the ball past goalkeeper Nafian Alionzi after URA defenders failed to clear away.

At the end of the match, KCCA fans wanted to attack URA coach Ssimbwa following his second goal celebration in front of them.

Ssimbwa later said he was only retaliating to the several waves of abuse he had endured from them throughout the match. It took the intervention of the Police to restore order.
