President Yoweri Museveni has met a delegation of Danish investors from Grundfos Holding, a Danish pump manufacturer, and advised them to consider investing in water cleaning and treatment in Uganda as well as provide clean water to the people, especially in rural areas.

He told the delegation which was led by the company's executive vice president, Poul Jensenis, that they should also consider working with the private sector as well as the different districts in Uganda to provide clean water to the people

On his part, Poul Jensenis disclosed that his company was already working with Buikwe District where they have already established solar water pumping and treatment stations and are now supplying safe and clean water to the different villages in the district through community taps.

Jensenis also revealed that similar water schemes have been established in Bidi Bidi refugee camps in West Nile Sub-Region where they are providing clean water to the refugees.

The meeting, which was held on Tuesday at Mestil Hotel in Kampala, was also attended by the Minister for Water and Environment, Sam Cheptoris, State Minister for Disaster Preparedness, Musa Ecweru and Uganda's Ambassador to Nordic countries, Nimisha Jayant Madhvani.
