To Lutalo, the massive turn-up at his annual concerts is a result of his fans planning and budgeting for him.

MUSIC CONCERT:

KAMPALA - For years, David Lutalo has proved that his fans are not affected by the proverbial January Blues. He has staged his annual concerts in January, when many are reticent over brokenness, and the turn-up is always mind-blowing.

This year, Lutalo is back with Tugende Concert, a show co-sponsored by Bukedde TV.

To Lutalo, the massive turn-up at his annual concerts is a result of his fans planning and budgeting for him.

"You know my fans put me in their budgets. They plan for me, knowing that after Christmas we have David Lutalo. I thank them for that," Lutalo said during a recent press conference at the Vision Group head offices.

The show, which borrows its name from his latest hit Tugende, is slated for January 31 at Hotel Africana, Kampala.

Latula's manager, Ivan Lukwago, said: "Our show is always educative, peaceful and entertaining, and you expect that and more. Every year we try to add more exciting stuff on the package. The venue is accessible and the security is good."

Representing one of the sponsors, radio presenter Simon Maseruka noted: "As Bukedde, we are about the common person. David Lutalo is a musician for the common person in Uganda. That is why we have been working with him all the years."

Entrance fee will be sh20,000 and sh50,000 for ordinary and VIP sections respectively. The main event will be followed by various shows across the country.
