Ssebunya who arrived late at the graduation grounds was welcomed with ululation from students disrupting the Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda's speech.

The medical doctor came to the limelight last year on November 14, 2019, after local artiste Rema Namakula introduced him to her parents in Nabbingo, along Masaka road. During the function, Ssebunya changed outfits, which is very uncommon in the Buganda culture.

Rema's fans took it to social media and said that Ssebunya was not a qualified doctor which forced Dr Sabrina Kitaka of Mulago Hospital to come out and defend him that he was actually supposed to graduate in January.

During their introduction ceremony, Rema thanked her new husband saying God had answered her prayers by giving him to her. Ssebunya also vowed to love his bride forever.
