Access to accurate and referenced GIS data is one of the major challenges in Uganda. Most of the available data lacks credible sources, spatial location, complete feature attributes, projection information, etc. The Energy sector of Uganda appreciates the role that Geographic Information plays in project planning, monitoring and evaluation, as well as asset management.
