CELEBRATION
The Catholic Brothers of Christian Instruction, popularly referred to as the Bothers of Kisubi, are set to celebrate 200 years of the founding of their religious institute.

The celebrations will be held at the congregation's headquarters at Mount St. Theresa, Kisubi, in Wakiso district, on October 4.
This was announced by the congregation's Superior, the Very Rev. Bro. Peter Kazzekulya, during the congregation's professions celebration at St. Mary's College Kisubi (in Wakiso district) on Thursday, January 2.
Kazzekulya asked Christians to pray for the success of the celebrations.

During the function, eight novices took their religious vows (poverty, chastity and obedience) and became full members of the congregation. The newly-professed brothers are Bro. John Azamuke (from Christ the King Parish in Arua Diocese), Bro. Deo Kamoga (Biikira Parish, Masaka), Bro. Africano Muhereza (Mabonwa parish, Mbarara Archdiocese), Bro. Davis Ndemere (Rubanda Parish, Kabale Diocese), Bro. Aloysius Ssekajigo (Lwaggulwe Parish, Masaka Diocese), Bro. Robert Bob Yiga (Mutukula Parish, Masaka), Bro. Moses Motika Lukumay (Good Shepherd Parish, Emboreet Simanjiro, Arusha) and Bro. Christian Usengimana Uwonkunda (Rwankuba Parish, Kigali Archdiocese, Rwanda).

Six Brothers celebrated 25 years in religious life. They are Bro. Pius Zobole Enze (from Micu Parish, Arua Diocese), Bro. Martin Wanambwa (Magale Parish, Tororo Archdiocese) and Bro. Joseph Muyunga (Villa-Maria Parish, Masaka). Others were Bro. Augustine Mugabo (Kabuwoko Parish, Masaka Diocese), Bro. Mathias Ssenfuma (Bukeerere Parish, Lugazi Diocese) and Bro. Franklin Rukundo (Nyakibaale Parish, Kabale Diocese).
Bro. Maricario Orikiriza, who hails from Hoima, pronounced his perpetual vows.
The function was presided over by Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga of Kampala Archdiocese. Bishops Paul Ssemwogerere of Kasana-Luweero Diocese, Serverus Jjjumba of Masaka Diocese and John Baptist Kaggwa (Emeritus, Masaka) also graced the function.
