Artistes explain why they joined
Michael Mugwanya alias DJ Michael
Mugwanya said his father was a bush war veteran who passed on. He said before he passed on, he appealed to him to love President Yoweri Museveni for his life. He said his father, the late Charles Katumba was a great admirer of President Yoweri Museveni.

He said that is why he has supported NRM for the last 15 years. He, however, said for 15 and six attempts he had failed to meet Museveni and remind him of his father and the secrets he left with him.

Mugwanya said although he has been a big supporter, he was shunned by NRM supporters when he was facing huge losses when fans shunned his concert. He, however, says his support has never changed.

Hassan Ndugga
Hassan Ndugga who formerly belonged to Revival Band of Pastor Yiga, said he had decided to abandon People Power because they had started harassing artists who don't support Bobi Wine.

He said he was recently invited and met President Yoweri Museveni to explain his new song titled Tulinga Ngaali. He said he informed the President that many youth don't hate him but were living in abject poverty and unemployment.

According to Ndugga, his song was not in bad faith but intended to show Museveni that many of them had been abandoned like the wild beautiful crested crane

He said he joined the trek because the President had tasked him to mobilize the youth who were facing challenges for possible assistance.

Full Figure
Tough-talking Full-Figure said they joined the trek to show their support to President Yoweri Museveni and for the peace and his good leadership, dismissing public opinions that they go to him to get money.

 Full Figure

Formerly with People Power, Figure said some opposition politicians attack Museveni that he had overstayed in power but challenged Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago not to contest again come 2021 because he had been in the same position for two terms.

She also lashed out at Mukono Municipality legislator Betty Nambooze who she said despite health challenges she still desired to retain her seat yet they criticise Museveni.

She said they joined the trek to show the country that Museveni's leadership was not hereditary, but was won through an armed struggle. She vowed to crash whoever will stand in Museveni's way.

She said the opposition was too weak to lead the country, saying without Museveni, they too will run away following the turmoil that might follow after.
