Catholic Church organises New Year overnight prayers
Fr. Joseph Luzindana asked Christians to take the lead in the fight against evil, in all its forms.
NEW YEAR PRAYERS
The New Year's overnight prayers organised by the Catholic Church at YES Centre, Nsambya were led by Fr Joseph Luzindana, who, during his homily, asked Christians and all Ugandans to shun evil and lead a virtuous life during the New Year.
He condemned immoral acts such as corruption, child-sacrifice, prostitution, homosexuality and dishonesty, which he said had rocked the country during the past year. He also asked Christians to take the lead in the fight against evil, in all its forms.
The prayer event dubbed Omukisa Gw'omwaka (the New Year's Blessing) was also graced by Fr Anthony Aliddeki Musaala, Fr. Dr. Joseph Mary Ssebunnya and other Catholic clerics.
