Cardinal Wamala marks 93rd birthday with relatives

Just a week after Christians of Kampala Archdiocese congratulated him with a grand party at Pope Paul Memorial Hotel, today (December 27) the prelate partied again at St. Paul’s Priests’ House, Nsambya

 
After clocking 93 years of age, 62 years in priesthood, 38 years in the episcopate and 25 years in the College of Cardinals, Emmanuel Cardinal Dr Wamala, the Archbishop Emeritus of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Kampala is being showered with party after party.

Just a week after Christians of Kampala Archdiocese congratulated him with a grand party at Pope Paul Memorial Hotel, today (December 27) the prelate partied again at St. Paul's Priests' House, Nsambya, which is located in the vicinity of his retirement residence. The party was organised by his relatives to congratulate him on his 93rd birthday.
 
The day-long event began with a thanksgiving mass presided over by the Bishop of Masaka, the Rt. Rev. Serverus Jjumba. The mass was also co-celebrated by the Vicar-General of Kampala Archdiocese, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Charles Kasibante, Fr. Dr. Emmanuel Katongole (from the US) and several priests. 
 
The function was also graced by the Minister for Higher Education, Dr John Chrysostom Muyingo, the Namasole of Kanyanya, Magdalene Ndibalekera and Dr Margaret Bukenya, among several other dignitaries.
