Musician Rema Namakula and her husband Dr Hamza Ssebunya on Saturday excited fans at city businessman Moses Kalungi's graduation ceremony at Lugogo in Kampala.

She picked her husband, who was one of the guests from the audience, as she unleashed her famous Gutujja lyrics, to their excitement.

Rema recently surprised the public when she dropped her long-time fiancé and fellow musician, Eddy Kenzo and introduced a medical doctor. They later tied the knot at a lavish wedding ceremony to her fans' excitement. She recently returned to the music scene after her honeymoon.

Rema, responding to ululations, took Ssebunya to the centre stage, where she performed as they tickled each other to the amusement of the guests.

She then performed ‘Tikkula' and led the doctor to the podium, where they congratulated Kalungi, who was celebrating his recent graduation with a diploma in legal practice from the Law Development Centre (LDC), Makerere.

Realising that no one was giving Rema money, Ssebunya pulled out a bundle of sh20,000 notes and started throwing them at her, a practice often associated with socialites and wealthy men in Kampala.

Kalungi, who was flanked by his wife Hanifa, said he would set up chambers and help the poor, widows and widowers.

The guests of honour at the function were former deputy chief justice Stephen Kavuma and LDC senior lecturer Richard Mwebembezi.
