Pyramids sack former Cranes Coach Desabre

Desabre who spent five months with the Egyptian side after leaving his role with Uganda has been replaced by Aziz Abdel-Shafy on an interim

Former Uganda Cranes Coach Sebastien Desabre has been sacked by Egyptian side Pyramids FC.

This was confirmed by the club's top brass following the team's inconsistent performances in the Egyptian league.

"Eng. Mamdouh Eid, CEO of the Pyramids Club, held an important session today (Thursday), with French coach Sebastien Desabre to discuss the team's position after the last two Premier League losses against Zamalek and El Gouna," read the communication

"It was agreed during the meeting, which was attended by Hani Saeed, the club's sporting director, with the French coach, to end his contract by mutual consent, and to limit himself to the period he spent at the head of the team's technical staff and to thank him for the previous stage. The executive management completed all financial agreements with the technical director to terminate the contract formally and in a friendly manner, and wished him success in his next steps" a statement from the club read.

Desabre who spent five months with the Egyptian side after leaving his role with Uganda has been replaced by Aziz Abdel-Shafy on an interim. Shafy will be assisted by Mahmoud Fathallah.

Desabre's sacking comes a few weeks after another former Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho' Sredojević was relieved of his duties at Zamalek another Egyptian side.

He leaves Pyramids seventh on the log of the league standings with 12 points from eight games
