Double circuit awaits fans at Busiika on Boxing Day

The Clerk of the Course (COC) for the Champions Sprint on Boxing Day has assured motorsport fans that it will be a double circuit sprint on that day.

Ahmed Ssemwanga made the assurance on Tuesday morning during the launch of the event that closes the motorsport calendar.

"We are going to make it more exciting for the fans and we assure all the fans that this time it is going to be a double circuit sprint," Ssemwanga said.

All the previous times Busiika has hosted the Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally, it has featured single lane races.

The fans will also enjoy different activities including motocross, horse riding, and adventure activities.

According to Ssemwanga, there is a lot on the menu that will be provided by Extreme Adventure Park on the day that fans do not need to miss.

"Besides the rally, fans will enjoy other activities including motocross, Paintball shooting, High Ropes, Obstacle challenges and then refreshing themselves in the newly constructed swimming pool," Kakeeto said.

Ssemwanga added that the Sprint will be a double circuit with two competitors going at once on the 2.48kms track.

Top crews including Arthur Blick Jr, Ponsiano Lwakataka, Samuel Bwete, Mark Lubega, and Charlie Lubega, Samuel Watendwa and defending champion Ronald Ssebuguzi have confirmed their participation.

A swimming pool is a new addition at Busiika.
