AUUS Inter-University games start on a high

The University of Kisubi (UNIK) was a hive of activity as the 18th AUUS Games kicked off on a wet and cold Monday in Entebbe.
The games took a slight hit due to the early morning downpour but the sun was not to be denied in the afternoon as teams took to the courts and the pitches.

Football, handball, volleyball, basketball, and woodball were some of the disciplines that participants engaged in, and at the end of the day, the better teams of the 19 universities involved, came out on top.

The opening ceremony of the Games was equally flamboyant with the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kisubi (UniK), Prof. John Ssebuwufu and AUUS president Peninanh Kabenge among the main speakers.

Richard Sanya's lens captured Day One's main activities.
