Devastating floods cut off Entebbe from Kampala

A Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) casual worker, identified as Juliana Tumusiime perished in the Saturday morning floods that cut off Entebbe Road.

A Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) casual worker, identified as Juliana Tumusiime perished in the Saturday morning floods that cut off Entebbe Road between Zana and Lubowa. 

Tumusiime was attached to Nippon, the company contracted by UNRA to maintain Kampala-Entebbe road. She is said to have been overpowered by the floods and efforts by colleagues to rescue her were futile. 

The officer in charge of operations at Lubowa Police station Innocent Ndyomugabe confirmed the incident and said Kajjansi Fire brigade recovered her body.

"The body has been recovered and taken to Mulago hospital for postmortem. It will be handed over to her employer  Nippon company. Ndyomugabe said
