Corporates embrace Nsiimye dinner

Today, Saturday, November 23, Kampala Serena Hotel Gardens is hosting a thanksgiving dinner dubbed "Nsiimye,". Nsiimye or thanksgiving ceremony is popular in the US and Canada.
Hosted by Speaker Rebecca Kadaga, the inaugural thanksgiving celebration has corporate families, clients, employees, loyal patrons and friends to a grand dinner to appreciate and give thanks to those who have made a difference in the lives of those around them.
Top artists such as Maddox Ssematimba, Myko Ouma, Kenneth Mugabi, Naava Grey, Jose Sax, Steve Keys with comedian Patrick Salvador are part of the dinner.
The Thanksgiving celebrations started out as a harvest festival in the United States. It has since been widely celebrated as a day where people take the opportunity to give thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year.
It has been celebrated since 1789 after Abraham Lincoln's declaration.
