EAC marks 20 years

The Ministry of East African Community (EAC) Affairs holds events to mark 20 years of the regional bloc.

The celebrations under the theme: Deepening Integration; Widening Cooperation started with a procession by the ministry's staff around Kampala city centre. They will be climaxed with the former minister for EAC Late Eriya Kategaya's memorial symposium today afternoon.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kabaka receives Ssemanobe

The Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has officially received the Ssemanobe (one in charge of sitting and installing the Kabaka at the traditional site at Budo in Wakiso district).

This was at a function in Lubiri Palace, Kampala district. The delegation accompanying the Ssemanobe Paul Kizito is led by the Mamba clan head Gabunga Mubiru Zziika. President passes out UPDF Tank Commanders

President Yoweri Museveni and Commander-in-Chief of the Uganda Armed Forces (UPDF) has passed out Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) Tank Crews who have successfully completed one-year Armour Basic Crew Course. This was during the ceremony that took place at the Armoured Warfare Training School (AWTS) Karama in Mubende District.
