KAMPALA - Members of the Bahai Community in Kampala on Tuesday gathered at the Bahai Temple at Kikaaya, Kanyanya (Kawempe Division) to mark 200 years of the birth of the Bab, the prophetic forerunner of the Prophet Bahaullah, who founded the Bahai faith.
The faith, which started in Persia (modern Iran), believes in universal peace and unity among all races and religions.

During the function, a number of ensembles sang Bahai songs which praised the Bab and Prophet Bahaullah.
There was also a presentation on the history of the faith, which seeks to unite the human race and advance a global civilization of spiritual and material prosperity.
Members of the faith also share a meal at the close of the function.
