With maximum points after 15 games, Weatherhead men are in strong running to register a perfect season in the UgandaBaati Hockey League.

At the start of the season, they set out to leave nothing to chance and their target was daring to win all games.

As the third round continues, they remain the only unbeaten side in the contest with a total of 41 points above second placed defending champions Wananchi.

Their strongest point may not necessarily be in the natural but rather in being a well-drilled team.

"We have continued to assert our intentions. The race is not easy but we remain committed to training hard and maintaining our form," said Vincent Kasasa, coach player Weatherhead.

Kasasa was in the mix of action scoring one of the three goals in the 3-2 win over Kampala Sunday at the National Hockey Stadium.

Meanwhile, debutants Makerere University has gained footing in the league to offset a poor start to the campaign. The university boys defeated veteran side Historicals in a solitary 5-1.

The club is making use of talent deemed surplus to requirements at Weatherhead.
