Commonwealth Conference enters third day

The third session discussion has been on how women can be empowered effectively as parliamentary legislators in the 21st century.

Hello and welcome everyone. Hoping today finds you well. The 64th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference, which is running from September 22 until September 29, is in its third day running. All eyes on Munyonyo, the venue.

Today, the Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) are expected to vote new leaders later this afternoon as they celebrate 39 years of existence under the Commonwealth.

Their conference kicked off Monday, which was the second day of the conference but at the same time the first day proper of the real business.

The CWP conference is themed Achievements and unfinished business - Looking forward to the next 30 years.

The third session discussion has been on how women can be empowered effectively as parliamentary legislators in the 21st century.
