A colourful fitness party at Heroes in Colour Run

For body fitness and fun lovers in Kampala, the second edition of Techno Heroes in Colour Run on Saturday at Lugogo Cricket Oval was thrilling. The event attracted a mostly youthful audience, who savored the ecstasy of working out in an entertaining curated environment.

 

The event started off with a warm-up before runners were flagged off to a 5km run. Runners used Lugogo By-pass, casting a picturesque scene on the route.

The first arrivers back at the venue walked home with various prizes like balls, shirts and umbrellas.

At the venue, revelers engaged in other fun activities like kwepena, board games, dancing and singing competition, face painting, football, and bouncing castles for kids. As partygoers continued trickling colour on each other, they engaged in activities of their fancy. It came off as family day outing.

Nina Rose kicked off performances before Weasel charmed fans with various hits of the duo Radio and Weasel. Carol Kasita put up an energetic performance before Spice Diana and Grenade Official excited them. DJ Shiru would hit the decks to crack revelers' partying bone throughout the afternoon to dusk.

 

Under the  theme "Digitalising Secondary Schools, the organsers said this year's edition of the charity event focused on raising funds to purchase computers, printers and other items for various secondary schools in Mukono district, "in a bid to digitalise the future of these students."
