Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) in partnership with My Food Network (MFN) has hosted the first-ever street food festival dubbed Kampala Foodie Street in Uganda.

According to Juliet Namuddu, the  KCCA Director of Education and Social Services, the event is to create a signature event of the capital, showcase food as a tourist attraction for both local and international visitors to Uganda.

The event was fun-filled with lots of fun and sensational music that attracted different people and holidaymakers around Kampala.

People started to flock in as early as 09:00 am and the festival ended at 6:00 pm in the evening.

Being the first of its' kind the turn up was a bit low compared to other KCCA organised festivals such as the Kampala carnival.

The hungry revelers tasted different flavours such as Nyama choma, cocktails, Rolex, Kikomando, samosas, sausages, chicken, Maize, gonja among other foods.

However, Rolex was the most popular food of the day.
