Old foes, UMU and MUBS played out a goalless draw in the first leg of their Pepsi University Football League quarter-final tie in Nakawa.
Both sides turned out wasteful with their chances leaving it all to play for in the second leg that will be played at Nkozi.
Meanwhile, Friday afternoon will see SLAU playing host to YMCA Comprehensive Institute in Kavule, Masaka Road for the first leg of their Pepsi University Football League quarter-final.

The tie is a repeat of last year's semi-final tie which saw the hosts edging YMCA 3-2 on aggregate to progress to the semi-finals where they were beaten by two-time champions Kampala University. In the semi-final last year, SLAU won 1-0 away in the first leg but had to come from behind to draw 2-2 at home to edge their rivals of the day.
SLAU coach Nnono Davis Ssozi is confident that this time around his boys will be more alert as they face YMCA.
"Last year we narrowly beat YMCA having to come from behind after the boys conceded two quick goals. So we have to be alert at the back as they are very quick and dangerous on the counter," he said.
The quarter-final first legs continue next week with Bugema University hosting Kyambogo University on Wednesday as Busitema will be preparing to host UCU on Friday 13th September.
