Fahad Bayo scored late as Vipers beat ten men Tooro United 1-0 Tuesday at St Mary's stadium, Kitende to go top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

The victory saw Vipers move to six points.

The end to end encounter between Vipers and Tooro was characterised with drama from the centre referee Brian Nsubuga. For starters, in a space of just minutes, Nsubuga had forgotten that Vipers left-back Farouk Musisi had received two yellow cards.

It took the intervention of fourth official Ali Sabila who reminded Nsubuga before Musisi was officially given marching orders.

Secondly, he sent off Tooro coach Wasswa Bbosa after a bitter exchanging of words with him.

Vipers who were without their head coach Edward Golola who is admitted in a hospital, put up a good fight, especially in the last 20 minutes.

With 18 minutes to normal time, Bayo headed in Rahmat Senfuka's freekick to send the home fans into celebrations.

Tooro United who would have been at least 2-0 in the first half missed a lot of scoring opportunities.
